With 20 years total experience working in retail, I started my journey as a trained product designer, moving into the world of kitchen and bathroom interior design. This knowledge of dealing directly with the shopper, gave me a great insight to their experience on the shop floor and what excited them when they visited a retail space. What they look for from entering the store through to completion of a sale meant I am able to connect my retail designs to real world experience and still utilise this shopper journey insight today.

With a natural curiosity for problem solving and technology, I made the move to join Dyson as lead for the design of all their third-party retail rollouts which included all environments from mall Pop-Up shops through to individual retailer fixtures. This hands-on approach gave me an insight of how brand guidelines are key to ensuring a consistent look + feel, and shopper experience across the entire retail estate. I worked directly with national retailers, designing to strict budgets. teaching me efficient design and what truly resonates from an experience point of view.

This experience has taught me that delivering immersive retail experiences that connect deeply with customers while staying true to a brand's vision is key to a successful retail activation.
